The aim of this module will be to show to the students the main structure of some cropping system simulation models and to apply them to case studies on intensive cropping systems.

Within this module the students will integrate the knowledge acquired in the other modules through the application of cropping system simulation models dealing with plant growth and crop production.

The module consists of 20 hours of lectures. PowerPoint presentation and already solved exercises, used during lessons, are available to students.

Levels of learning acquired by the students will be evaluated:

-          through questions related to topics already taught during the course

-          during numerical applications.

Final exam will consists of a model application to be solved on a PC and of a oral part to assess theoretical knowledge of the student.
