Obiettivi formativi
Il modulo è parte del corso integrato "Filiera Legno", finalizzato alla preparazione di laureati con competenze specifiche nei processi di trasformazione del legno di carattere tecnico, gestionale, normativo ed economico, con particolare riferimento al settore delle lavorazioni industriali e della commercializzazione del legno massiccio e dei prodotti a base di legno.
The module is part of the course "chain Wood", in order to prepare graduates with specific skills in the processes of transformation of the wood of a technical, managerial, regulatory and economic conditions, with particular reference to the field of industrial manufacturing and marketing of solid wood and wood-based products.

Acquisire conoscenze tecniche ed economiche sui principali prodotti a base di legno e sul loro mercato, sui processi di trasformazione, sulla normativa tecnica di settore e sui sistemi di certificazione di filiera.
To acquire technical knowledge and economic information on major wood-based products and their market, the processes of the woodworking industries, their technical standards and the certification systems of the supply chain.

Modalità di insegnamento
Il modulo consiste di 32 ore di lezione frontale e 8 ore dedicate visite presso imprese di prima e/o seconda trasformazione del legno. Per le lezioni frontali la docente si avvale di presentazioni e slide che sono a disposizione degli studenti. A seguito della visita in campo, gli studenti dovranno redigere una breve relazione su quanto osservato in azienda.
The module consists of 32 hours of lectures and 8 hours devoted to wood industry visits. Classes are held using Power Point slides, available to students on the web. After the field trip, students are asked to write a short report about their observations during the industry visits.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
L'esame è integrato con l'altro modulo previsto dal corso. Per questo modulo l'esame è un colloquio orale. L'esame prevede due domande, una per ciascuna parte del corso (Parte 1 e 2), e una breve discussione della relazione sulle visite in azienda, mirata a verificare la capacità di ragionamento e di collegamento tra le conoscenze acquisite.
Al termine di ciascuna parte del programma (Parte 1 e 2) la docente procederà a una verifica dell'efficacia didattica mediante discussioni in aula sugli argomenti trattati, senza valore per la valutazione finale, ma utile agli studenti per stimare il proprio grado di apprendimento.
The final exam is an oral exam. The students will be asked two questions that cover the two parts of the syllabus (Part 1 and 2) and a short discussion of field visit report, in order to assess the understanding of the connections among the different areas of study.
At the end of each part of the syllabus (Part 1 and 2) the lecturer will test the teaching effectiveness through discussions in class. The intermediate verifications are not valid for the final evaluation, but helpful to the students to estimate their degree of learning.
