Area gestionale e di sostenibilità.
L'insegnamento concorre a completare la formazione dello student* in Scienze Animali. Obiettivo è fornire la conoscenza e comprensione dei principali concetti e strumenti di Marketing e di analizzare e comprendere il funzionamento delle principali filiere zootecniche.

The course contributes to complete the student's education in Animal Science.
The aim of this course is to provide the student with the knowledge and comprehension of the main marketing concepts and tools applicable to animal products.

Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione
Alla fine dell'insegnamento lo/a student* avrà acquisito e descritto e compreso quanto segue:
- cos'è, quale è stata l'evoluzione e quale funzione ha il Marketing per l'impresa;
- l'ambiente di marketing, il mercato dei prodotti di consumo, il mercato business (delle aziende);
- il processo di pianificazione, la pianificazione strategica e la pianificazione di marketing;
- la relazione tra marketing e società, cultura, legislazione e responsabilità sociale;
- cos'è e come si ottiene valore per il cliente;
- il comportamento del consumatore e il processo decisionale del consumatore;
- come si costruisce una ricerca di marketing ed il sistema delle informazioni;
- come si costruisce, sviluppa e gestisce un brand;
- le attività di segmentazione, targeting e posizionamento;
- come si costruisce e quali informazioni si ottengono di un Business Plan e di un Piano di marketing;
- le strategie di prodotto e il ciclo di vita del prodotto;
- le strategie di prezzo;
- le principali catene di fornitura e le strategie di distribuzione (strategie di vendita al dettaglio e all'ingrosso);
- le strategie di pubblicità e promozione vendite, con riguardo alla vendita personale e al marketing diretto;
- gli strumenti di comunicazione e il loro utilizzo;
- il marketing mix e le relative strategie;
- come si misura la performance di Marketing (Accountability of Marketing).

Risolvere problemi di marketing: esempio elaborare una matrice SWOT.

Analizzare criticamente gli argomenti proposti dal docente con specifiche letture (in sede di attività in aula o, per student* non frequentanti, in sede di esame finale).

Knowledge and understanding
At the end of the lessons the students (M, F) will be able to describe and explain:
- what is, what was the evolution and what function has marketing for the business;
- the marketing environment, the consumer product market, the business market;
- the planning process (strategic and marketing planning);
- the marketing mix and its strategies;
- the relationship between marketing and society, culture, legislation and social responsability;
- what is and how to obtain value for the customer;
- the consumer behaviour and consumer decision-making;
- what is and how to build a marketing research and how information system is built;
- how builds, develops and manages a brand;
- how segmentation, targeting and placement activities;
- the structure and contents of a Business Plan and a Marketing Plan;
- the product strategies and product life cycle;
- the price strategies;
- the main zootechinical supply chains and distribution strategies (retail and wholesale strategies);
- the strategies of advertising and sales promotion, with regard to personal sales and direct marketing;
- the communication tools and their use;
- how to measure the marketing performance (accountability of marketing).
Applying knowledge and understanding
Critically analyse the topics proposed by the Teacher with specific readings (during classroom activities or, for students (M, F) not attendant during the final exam).
Making judgments
Analysis of articles/books/technical reports assigned by the Teacher.
Communication skills
Use the main concepts, notions and tools of Marketing in a fashionable way.

2 Richiami teorici: teoria del consumatore, tipi e forme di mercato.
3 Il marketing: cos'è, a cosa serve, come si è evoluto.
4 Strategie di marketing. Pianificazione strategica.
5 Ricerche di marketing.
6 Analisi del mercato consumer. Analisi del mercato business. Relazioni di valore con i clienti.
7 Segmentazione e targeting della domanda. Differenziazione e posizionamento dell'offerta.
8 Gestione del brand. Gestione del prodotto. Gestione di strategie e politiche di prezzo.
9 Gestione della distribuzione (canali di marketing).
10 Gestione della comunicazione.

Modalità di insegnamento
L'insegnamento prevede 60 ore suddivise in 48 ore di didattica frontale/registrazioni in Moodle e 12 ore di esercitazioni/in aula.

The course consists of 60 hours divided into 48 hours frontal teaching and 12 hours of classroom exercises.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
La verifica della preparazione degli studenti avverrà con:
1 - esame scritto composto da domande di varia tipologia: vero/falso, frasi da completare e domande a risposta multipla. Lo scritto si compone di n. 15 domande.
Istruzioni dettagliate sulle modalità di esame: in Moodle (primo riquadro) e in aula nel corso della prima lezione.
Gli argomenti oggetto d'esame saranno quelli trattati durante l'insegnamento e presenti nel programma; si dovrà portare lo studente a riflettere e ad elaborare criticamente il ruolo del Marketing per le imprese del comparto agroalimentare e, in particolare, per le imprese delle principali filiere zootecniche.
L'esame si pone lo scopo di verificare conoscenza, comprensione e competenze descritti in "Risultati dell'apprendimento attesi"; i quesiti posti allo studente, in sede di esame orale, prevedono risposte sia descrittive che critiche.
Per il superamento dell'esame è necessario un corretto utilizzo della terminologia e una chiara e sintetica esposizione soprattutto all'orale che evidenzi altresì i collegamenti logici tra gli argomenti trattati.
The examination consists of:

written test - n. 15 questions (true/false, sentences to be completed and multiple answers, open questions, tables with question/s to complete. etc.);
and
- oral test.
